In Ayurveda, carrots are used as a treatment for many diseases. Because carrots have little to no fat but they are rich in nutrients like sodium, potassium, carbohydrates, protein, vitamin A, D, C, B6 etc. Due to these nutrients, carrots help in relieving migraine, ear pain.   What is carrot?

Carrots are not only a vegetable, many dishes like halwa, pickle, jam, pak etc are also made from it. Carrots are of two types: wild and cultivated. In termof colour, it is of many types like red, yellow, black etc. Carrots are spicy, sweet and bitter by nature. Carrots help in reducing bile and vata in the blood, provide relief from piles, diarrhea and phlegm. According to Rajnighantu, carrots are sweet, increase appetite, remove flatulence or acidity, remove worms, relieve bile from burning sensation and pain. And it provides relief from thirst.
Wild carrot-charpi is hot, reduces phlegm and vata, is beneficial in leprosy, piles, colic or pain, burning sensation, asthma and hiccups.
