Kaner's identity
Yellow Kaner is an evergreen plant which is found in the form of a bush or small tree. It is also known by many other names like Avetia peruviana, yellow oleander, Avetia neriifolia etc. It is part of the family commonly known as the Dogbane family. This herb is found mostly in Mexico and Central America. Along with this, it is also found in the villages of Charubeta, Khatima, Uttarakhand in India. Yellow Kaner flowers are bright yellow in color and jug shaped. The length of these flowers is 7 cm and width is 2.5–4 cm and the flowers are in the form of bunch. The special thing about these plants is that they are poisonous and if consumed in excess quantity, it can even lead to death.

Yellow Kaner contains a heart active chemical called cardiac glycoside. This chemical has some side effects but still this herb is used in making many medicines. It is used to get relief from many diseases. Kaner flowers are of many colors. White Kaner, Yellow Kaner and Red (Pink) Kaner. While seeing a white Kaner gives peace to the mind, seeing a red (pink) Kaner gives the illusion as if it is a meeting of spring and monsoon. Two species of Kaner are found, white and yellow Kaner and yellow Kaner. Many species of Kaner are found on the basis of flowers like white, yellow etc. All species have the same botanical name.
